Welcome to the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism.

The field first became an identifiable occupation in the late nineteenth century after commercialization of the electric telegraph and electrical power supply.

It now covers a range of subtopics including power, electronics, control systems, signal processing and telecommunications.

From the Global Positioning System to electric power generation, electrical engineers have contributed to the development of a wide range of technologies.

They design, develop, test and supervise the deployment of electrical systems and electronic devices.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2002.

It is well equipped with highly commendable facilities and is effectively headed by Prof.Dr. Karthi Kumar and guided by a team of highly experienced , dedicated and diligent faculty members .
